The Mall at Green Hills Adds Complimentary Valet Parking to its Luxury Portfolio

(NASHVILLE, TN) –The Mall at Green Hills and mall-owner Davis Street Land Company are pleased to announce the commencement of complimentary valet parking service for mall customers. Free valet parking services will now be available, seven days a week, from 10 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. Monday through Saturday, and noon to 6:00 p.m. on Sunday.

The complimentary service will first be available at the Mall’s North Station located next to Starbucks Coffee and The Cheesecake Factory. A second station next to Macy’s Hillsboro entrance is expected to open in the near future. A third station, near the new Nordstrom Store on Abbott Martin, will open when construction is completed in 2011.

According to Hank Woerner, the mall’s General Manager, “The Mall at Green Hills has grown to be the region’s only luxury shopping experience. We feel that a free, professional valet service can only enhance the customer experience associated with shopping at a premier center.”

Ralph Schulz, President of The Nashville Area Chamber of Commerce, observed that the Mall has been quietly assembling an elite class of shops such as Tiffany & Co., Louis Vuitton and Burberry that has vaulted them into the “shopping big leagues”, a move that will be punctuated by the coming of Nordstrom in less than 24 months. “Complimentary valet parking is just one more sign that Nashville’s shopping profile has sharply risen, even nationally. Not only will the parking service prove to be a significant convenience for loyal customers, young families and retired patrons, but will also cater to the new out-of-town shopper drawn to the center by our world class stores, “said Schulz. “We’ve watched The Mall at Green Hills develop into a luxury shopping experience and are excited about its positive impact on the local economy”, he said. Mall management has initiated a property-wide, on-site signage program directing customers to the valet parking station. In addition, valet parking cards will be widely distributed at check-out sites of mall stores to remind shoppers of how they can retrieve their cars when they are ready to leave the mall.

“The Mall at Green Hills is especially pleased to be working with Parking Management Corporation (PMC) in the development of our complimentary valet parking service,” said Woerner. “Not only do they offer first-class service, but they are even more committed to customer convenience and comfort”, he said. When all stations are up and running, according to Woerner, customers can retrieve their car at any one of three stations, regardless of where they dropped it off. “We think that’s a remarkable perk that’s unique to our property”.

The Mall at Green Hills’ complimentary valet service is being initiated in anticipation of a robust holiday season as well as upcoming construction projects on both the new Nordstrom store and an expanded parking deck.
