Sephora Opens First Tennessee Store at The Mall at Green Hills

The Mall at Green Hills has announced the opening of Sephora, a world-renown beauty company opening its first store in Tennessee.

The new store features over 250 classic and emerging brands across a broad range of product categories including skincare, color, fragrance, makeup, bath & body, and haircare, in addition to Sephora's own private label. The Sephora store is located in the lower level Hecht’s Court next to Ann Taylor Loft.

“We are very excited to announce the opening of Sephora in The Mall at Green Hills,” says Mall General Manager Hank Woerner. “We think our customers will enjoy Sephora’s incredible collection of the world’s leading cosmetic products,” Woerner adds.

Sephora operates approximately 515 stores in 14 countries worldwide, with an expanding base of over 119 stores across North America. The company opened its first U.S. store in New York in 1998, and its first Canadian store in Toronto in 2004. Sephora is a visionary beauty-retail concept founded in France in 1969 and acquired by Paris-based LVMH Moët Hennessy Louis Vuitton, the world's leading luxury products group, in 1997.

Louis Vuitton will be opening a retail store featuring its exclusive handbags, shoes and accessories in the Mall later this summer. It will be the company’s only store in the state of Tennessee and will be the only distribution point for its exclusive products in Nashville.

The Mall at Green Hills will also celebrate the opening of several more retailers in the shopping center later this year including luxury jewelry retailer Tiffany & Co. that will also open this summer. Clark’s will open its first shoe store in Nashville mid-summer and Stride-Rite, the children’s shoe store, will open early fall.

Sephora is the most recent store opening in the Mall. Godiva Chocolatier opened a store in February 2006. In December 2005, Starbucks Coffee and Therapy Systems opened in the Mall, which celebrated its Grand Expansion Celebration in late October 2005 with the opening of The Cheesecake Factory, Davis-Kidd Booksellers, Z Gallerie, Panera Bread, Kiehl’s, Cole Haan, L’Occitane, BCBG MAXAZRIA, Coldwater Creek, Elisabeth, Lucky Brand Jeans, Marmi Shoes, Sigrid Olsen, Brighton Collectibles and Mimi Maternity. The more than 80,000 square foot expansion introduced many retailers in the Nashville market for the first time and continues to position The Mall at Green Hills as the premier shopping center in the region.

The Mall at Green Hills is located in Nashville, Tennessee at 2126 Abbott Martin Road and is owned, leased and managed by Davis Street Land Company. Davis Street Land Company is a privately held real estate company focused on the ownership and development of upscale centers and Main Street properties located in suburban and urban downtowns. In recent years, the principals of the company have been responsible for the development and ownership of unique retail properties such as The Falls Shopping Center in Miami, FL, Renaissance Place in Highland Park, Illinois, The Gardens on El Paseo in Palm Desert, California, and Plaza Frontenac in St. Louis, Missouri.
